Director HR
Sandra Parsons is committed to fostering a values based, performance led organisation: her diverse experience managing human resources proves it. With previous HR leadership roles in organisations both big and small, Sandra envisions company values, membership needs, and employee contributions at the heart of the ICE’s activities.
Sandra’s career in HR began at British Telecom where she was accountable for non-engineering recruitment and management appointments for 8,000 employees. Sandra’s early career was also marked by a generalist human resources role at The Prudential and a European wide HR role at SilverPlatter Information, an electronic publishing company.
Sandra then embarked upon several strategic human resources projects for larger organisations – including Channel Four Television, Coca-Cola, and Starbucks Coffee Company. As an HR specialist at British American Tobacco, Sandra facilitated the smooth transition of the human resources function to a business partnering model.
Most recently, Sandra spent five years at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) as the Head of Human Resources. Here she devised an HR strategy in line with the CIMA's business strategy-at-large. This plan was later validated by CIMA and re-accredited by Investors in People – despite a new and more rigorous process of review.
As the current HR director within ICE, Sandra is responsible for enabling ICE Group to achieve its strategic goals through its people. She believes strongly that all employees can be motivated towards higher levels of values based performance while also being recognised for their contributions to a challenging yet rewarding place to work.
