The Benevolent Fund (BFICE) is there to help ICE members and their dependents in need and has supported over 30,000 ICE members since it was founded in 1864.
Whether you are experiencing difficulties with employment or redundancy, ill-health or disability, or problems in retirement, BFICE is here to provide advice, support, guidance and financial assistance to ICE members (past and present) and their dependents, all over the world.
Our services include:
- A 24-hour free helpline
- A new outplacement/back to work programme providing practical support to unemployed members
- Financial aid to those living in poverty
- Independent financial advice
- Advice and support for those facing illness or suffering after a bereavement or accident Accommodation for those with nowhere to live
- Assistance to disabled and disadvantaged engineering students
Last year BFICE helped nearly 500 individuals, and it looks like even more will be helped this year.
