How does Building Information Modelling (BIM) from a practical point of view affect the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)?
This event, co-hosted with the Devon and Cornwall branch of IStructE, will provide an insight into the practical uses of BIM and the advantages it offers the SME.
The presentation and workshop introduces OpenBIM – a collaborative design approach – concentrating on the benefits this can offer. The event will be hosted by some of the UK partners of buildingSMART (including Graphisoft, Tekla and others), a non-profit making, neutral organisation who support a transparent, open workflow allowing project members to participate in the design process regardless of the software tools they use.
Delegates will be given the opportunity to explore this collaborative open workflow in a series of hands-on seminars after the presentation, led by the representatives of the buildingSMART group.

5.00 – 6.00 Presentation by the UK Partners of buildingSMART
