Time 18:00 - 20:00
Event Type Lecture

Eurocode 7 deals with Geotechnical Design and replaced the existing national design codes in March 2010. It introduced new standards and requirements for the planning, sampling and investigation strategies of ground investigations, field tests and laboratory tests, as well as introducing a new and unified design philosophy and principals.

This presentation will look at the requirements that are set out in EC7 Geotechnical Design, with particular emphasis on ground investigation, and will discuss how these requirements are being met in general GI practice. The discussion will present some case studies from sites in the UK and will consider how the results relate to an ‘improved’ foundation design.

Please note that there is no requirement to book a place to attend this presentation. For all other enquiries, please contact Joanne Mallard - joanne.mallard@ice.org.uk / 01752 766230.
