Date 19 FEBRUARY 2013
Time 17:30 - 21:00
Event Type Debate

Please see the attached flyer here for full details. The motion this time is: “Flood barriers for New York City are a sound investment”

Speakers for the motion are Andrew Ardrey and Gary Ostroff from CH2MHill. Speakers against the motion are Larry Taylor and William Cao from Parsons Brinkerhoff.

For those who have not been to one of these events before, they are very lively, informal and great fun. And of course, proceedings are helped along by the cheap beer!

The event will take place, as the previous ones have, at the 11th Street Bar which is located on 11th Street between Avenues A and B. A map is also attached here for ease of reference. There is no cost to attend and no need to book – just turn up and enjoy the debate and the happy hour bar prices – all night!

The local ICE team hope to see many people there and all are welcome to forward information about this event to anyone they think might be interested.

Bar debate rules can also be downloaded here
