Roger Cragg has been West Midlands Regional Panel member of the Panel for Historical Engineering Works (PHEW) since 1977. He was Chairman of the working party which drew up the assessment method and is also Convenor of the Panel’s Inland Waterways Sub-Panel. PHEW was founded by the Institution in 1968. One of its roles is to record and publicise works and structures which illustrate the history and development of civil engineering.
