Joint meeting - Newcomen Society & ICE Heritage Panel
A new look at the Bridges of the Tees Estuary to access the constraints and influences that were imposed at the time of their design. Were these sufficient to affect the finished appearance? These influences could be the need to accommodate the requirements of shipping as well as aid in the development of the area. Alternately it could be a simple desire to make a statement that the river has been regenerated and was now there for recreational use.
