Do you have the public involvement and communication skills that are the key to successful careers and successful business?
Few engineers today can progress in their careers without mastering the skills of communication and public involvement. Experience shows us that these skills can make the difference between the right project being built quickly, and the project not happening at all.
The ICE Communications Competition is a great opportunity to gain experience in this area, or to showcase your existing skills. Heats will be held in each of the three Branch areas, with the winning teams taking home £100 prize money and a place in the semi-finals.
The competition is open to teams of four, each with no more than seven years industry experience, and at least two of whom are ICE members (of any grade). Teams of five can be entered where at least one person is an ICE Student Member.
Entry cost: £50 per team
First prize at the branch heat £100
First prize at the national final £500
Closing Date for Entries: Wednesday 22nd February 2012
Competition Night: 28 March 2012
