The provision of wind energy from both onshore and offshore sources is fundamental in enabling the UK Government to meet its commitment of providing 15% of energy from renewable sources by 2020.
Round 3 of The Crown Estate’s leasing rounds for the generation of energy from Offshore Wind has confirmed the UK’s commitment to the target and will provide the construction industry with over £100 billion of new work.
To assist in meeting this challenge the UK industry has to develop new foundation solutions which will both ease pressure on the supply chain and help to drive down costs.
The talk will give an overview of the immense and exciting challenge facing the wind industry and will discuss a number of gravity foundation, deep water solutions, that have been developed specifically for deployment on the Round 3 programme around the UK.
Please book online.
