General Information: Written Assignment Discussion Group Spring 2012

The ICE Written Assignment Discussion Group (WADG) is yet to restart again soon in preparing the next batch of potential reviewees in time for the Spring 2012 Review Season.  This Group has a base in St. Albans, where physical meetings are held in AECOM House, 63-77 Victoria Street, St. Albans, amongst other locations around the UK ICE Regions.  However, as the ICE WADG has done for the past year, it will continue to provide an ‘online’ element in sync and conjunction with the physical meetings held, in the form of a discussion forum (via www.Linkedin.com) and an Online Cloud Server (via www.humyo.com).

The main structure when attending the ICE WADG physically in St. Albans is that a presentation is provided by the host/guest, followed by splitting the attending group to answer a typical question in the form of a mind-map brainstorming session.  Attendees will then provide a brief presentation and receive feedback.  After the session, attendees can answer at least one question on the topic they recently attended by preparing a draft mind-map or essay and can email it to ice.nw.wag@gmail.com before the next session starts.  This would then be password encrypted and a password would be sent to provide further access on the ICE WADG Cloud Servers’ vast database, containing other people’s numerous efforts and also obtain brief feedback on their submission.

Those who cannot make it to the physical sessions, either through work or long distance travelling, can virtually attend through accessing the presentation notes, questions and submit the draft assignments as above.

Jonathan Han and Herts & Beds G&S will lead the physical sessions in the Herts & Beds Region , East of England and maintain the LinkedIn Group Online, whilst Chris Wood will lead the physical sessions occurring in Manchester, Northwest.

Peter Hallsworth will be a main contributing speaker at Manchester Branch and will review all submitted draft essays and/or mind-maps of each of the five topics.  All three are contactable via the LinkedIn Group (http://www.linkedin.com/groups?mostPopular=&gid=3272970), or via email at ice.nw.wag@gmail.com.

If you would like further information on the LinkedIn Group, please contact Jonathan Han (for East of England or Online Followers) or Chris Wood (for Manchester) at ice.nw.wag@gmail.com.
