Event Type Meeting

Presented by: Sarah Kellerman, EC Harris and Gareth Farrier, BAM Nuttall

The presentation is based around industry practice (both good and bad) in the contract management and administration of the NEC suite of contracts, focusing on the ECC form. The presentation will be given in two parts; the first by Sarah Kellerman of EC Harris, who deals with the NEC as a client advisor and the preparation of NEC contract, its administration and disputes from an employer’s point of view; the second is by Gareth Farrier of BAM Nuttall, who will give a contractor’s perspective of the management and delivery of contracts let under the NEC form of contract.

The presentation will be aimed at younger members of the ICE who are interested in the contractual arrangements which are used for the delivery of the majority of civil engineering technical solutions.  The presentation will concentrate on experiences from an employer’s and contractor’s perspective as a result of working on the NEC contract over several years.
