The Ashby Canal Restoration, an exciting and innovative regeneration project in the Heart of the National Forest, will be used to discuss various engineering aspects of constructing a canal. The project will be introduced by Geoffrey Purseglove. He will give an overview of the history of the canal, its demise and restoration. Alan Bryan will then discuss the design and construction in more detail.
