ICE Lincs - A Partnership Approach to deliver Flood Risk Management Schemes for Louth and Horncastle
Speaker: Ian Russell B.Sc, M.Phil, C.Eng, C.Env, C.WEM, M.I.C.E., M.C.I.W.E.M. Partnerships and Investment Manager, Environment Agency.
Both Louth and Horncastle have suffered historic flooding. At Louth, 104 properties were flooded from the River Lud (main river) in June 2007, some of these flooded again in July 2007. Horncastle is at risk of flooding from both the River Bain (main river) / Ings Drain (IDB drain) and the River Waring (main river) which meet just downstream of the town. Both locations also suffer from surface water issues.
