ICE-SA (A Joint Division of ICE and SAICE) is hosting a series of seminars around the country from Monday 20th February to Friday 24th February to assist anyone who has an interest in becoming a member of ICE. In each of three locations, ICE-SA will be hosting
Mike Rogers, Head of Membership & Professional Development at ICE who will present a half day seminar on the routes to membership. This will be followed by a half day of one-on-one sessions with Mike Rogers, (by appointment) to identify whether a candidate is ready to take their Professional Review.
This is a golden opportunity for SA qualified Engineers to find out how to supplement their local PrEng status by obtaining an Internationally recognised professional qualification (Chartered Engineer status) that will enable them to work internationally in full professional capacity. Becoming a Member of ICE can help to open the door for an international career!
These Seminars will cover the following topics:
1) Brief History of the ICE and its Purpose
2) Breakout workshop to discuss:
- Benefits of Membership
- CPD including monitoring
- Promotion of Membership Grades
3) Routes to Membership including:
- Grades of Membership
- Educational Base
- Initial Professional Development
- Continuing Professional Development
4) The Professional review
