Date 3 JULY 2012
Time 18:00 - 20:00
Event Type Workshop

Please forward you names to Jon Durnell, Jonathan.Durnell@aurecongroup.com in advance so they can be passed to security.

The topic for discussion will be:

“Explain how you would consider sustainability if managing the design and construction of a project using your experiences to date”

The idea of this topic includes focussing on our own particular experiences and how the principles can be incorporated. In other words how can you demonstrate your ability towards the CEng attribute related to this principle (7. Sustainable Development) .

A) A sound knowledge of sustainable  development best practice.
B) Ability to manage engineering activities that contribute to sustainable development.
C) Committed to leading continuous improvement in sustainable development.

For those who wish to look more specifically at the development objectives, please bring along your objectives and anything you have already got signed off. We will endeavour to have a couple of chartered engineers there who will be able to go through objectives and help give you some direction and ideas for how to get things signed off, or what to include in your career appraisal.

Feel free to contact your Graduate rep on the NSW committee with ideas for future events, or if you can’t come but want to be involved – Jon Durnell (Jonathan.Durnell@aurecongroup.com).
