The Concrete Centre is the central development organisation for the UK concrete industry whose aim is to enable all those involved in the design, use and performance of concrete to realise the full potential of concrete. Jenny Burridge, the presenter, is a chartered civil and structural engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry.
About the presentation:
Eurocode 2 is now the main code for the design of all concrete structures. The rules for detailing are different within EC2 to those in the old British Standards. This presentation will go through some of these changes and particularly focus on the new anchorage and lapping rules. It will also point towards where further information is available.
