Last year South Branch G&S group hosted a presentation on B&Q’s EcoHouse project. This year you can go and see it for yourself.
B&Q refurbished a typical house in Bishopstoke, Southampton, into an EcoHouse fit for the next century. The house is about 100 years old, has 3 bedrooms and is an end terrace in a suburb – an ordinary home. The finished home will run using as few resources as possible – but will also be stylish and comfortable, a One Planet Home®.
The house is being improved to achieve high levels of energy efficiency and use renewable energy. With the help of sustainability experts home's refurbishment's environmental impact will be kept as low as possible.
James Walker, Innovation Project Manager at Kingfisher, will be giving a brief recap on the EcoHouse, covering the highlights of the project and particular points of interest throughout the building.
Booking is required as numbers are limited to 15 delegates. The address of the EcoHouse will be provided in due course to delegates.
