Speaker: Andrew Hindmarch - Crossrail
The role of operations is to integrate the existing and future infrastructure into the system. This includes interfaces with existing stations, type of rolling stock, and signalling amongst others. The tunnel is part of the wider systems, and it is the effective specification, design and integration of those systems which determines whether Crossrail (or indeed any railway) will succeed.
This presentation is to demonstrate that the tunnels are only a part of the story and the detailed design of the systems (signalling, tunnel vent fans etc) is a key element in the whole process.
Tea and biscuits will be available at 5:30pm
Advance booking not required
