Steve Dando is a retired Army Officer who saw active service in North Africa, Iraq and Afghanistan
over a 7 year career where risk management and mitigation were the difference between life and
death. He has now migrated this awareness to the world of Professional Risk Insurance at Howden
Windsor Insurance Brokers, where they have been providing Professional Indemnity Insurance
(PII) to all aspects of the Engineering Sector since 1994. PII should be the priority for any business
wishing to transfer the risk of claims made by a client (or third party) who are suggesting they have
suffered a loss as a result of non-performance, breach of contract and/or professional negligence
in the services provided. Essentially, PII provides the safety-net when all else fails and means that
the risk of unexpected financial losses as a result of professional negligence or lack of reasonable
skill and care, will be taken on by the insurance company(s).
This talk will be particularly beneficial for anyone who one day aspires to be in a management
position, whereby making informed decisions on risk management and risk mitigation could
determine the safety and longevity of your company’s financial stability. Also, anyone with an
interest in the ‘bigger picture’ and understanding the financial risk exposures your employers face
on a day-day basis will find this useful.
Tea and biscuits will be available at 5.30pm
Advance booking not required
The event will be followed by a social in the ICE bar
