Refreshments at 17.30. Brief talks begin at 18.00.
A networking and career event to introduce students to graduates, and graduates to other graduates in other Civil Engineering disciplines. This networking event will give some understanding of potential Civil Engineering careers, and life after University. There will be four brief ‘graduate in industry’ talks by Sameer Mannick (Consultant), Karl Page (Contractor), Jane Tume (Local Authority), and Lee Woods (Academic). After these talks there will be an opportunity for all that attend to do some speed networking, to find out more about different industry disciplines and career paths. You will also be able to post questions to people who have pursued the career before.
Numbers are limited, so you must Book Online. Note that you don’t need to be an ICE Member to use the system. When you’ve followed the ‘Book Online’ link on the webpage, either enter your log-in information if you’re already an ICE Member or, if not, click on ‘Register Now’. You will be required to supply your name, email address, postal address, date of birth and a password. When the formalities are completed, you’ll be able to book for this and any other ICE meetings that are of interest to you.
For this meeting, when using the online system, please ensure that within the box “Special Requirements”, you state your Company, Industry Discipline and Membership Level OR your University, Course Title and Year so that the networking event can work properly.
