Light refreshments will be available from 18.30 and the presentations will begin at 19.00.
This Prestige Event, and latest in the 'Great Debate' series, will seek to provide an overview of how houses and their associated services may change over the next 30 years. Pressure to reduce carbon emissions and the demand for services is likely to continue both through legislation and the impact of rising costs, but the advances in technology that this is driving may also bring improvements.
The event will be chaired by Professor Stuart Green (Head of School of Construction Management and Engineering, Reading University) and will include presentations on Design and Construction (Oliver Novakovic, Director of Building Futures, BRE), Power and Heating (Professor Tony Day, Director,
International Energy Research Centre, Tyndall National Institute, Cork), Water Supply & Drainage, and Control Systems.
ADVANCED BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Please follow this link to reserve your place. Note group booking is not available at this time, please register each attendee separately.
The event is brought to you in association with the University of Reading, Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and the British Computer Society (BCS).
