Refreshments will be served from 18.00 and the presentation will commence at 18.30. This is a Joint Professional Meeting organised by the Southern Regional Group of IStructE but all ICE members are most welcome to attend.
Eurocode 2 is now the main code for the design of all concrete structures. The rules for detailing are different within EC2 to those in the old British Standards. This presentation will go through some of these changes and particularly focus on the new anchorage and lapping rules. It will also point towards where further information is available.
Jenny Burridge is Head of Structural Engineering at the Concrete Centre. She is a chartered civil and structural engineer with more than 25 years experience in the construction industry. She has worked for Arup and AECOM designing award winning buildings in both the UK and mainland Europe.
