Temporary works are an important part of a structure’s life which are often overlooked, as is the interface between what is permanent and what is temporary. The talk will look at various types of temporary works used during construction and show how the design of the permanent works can have a great influence on choices. Legal responsibilities will be highlighted and specific codes and methodology discussed. Everything doesn’t always go to plan so some pointers as to what can go wrong will also be shown.
