Tea and Coffee on arrival with Chip Supper later.
The scheme covers the Central Felixstowe seafront and comprises the following:
A series of 18 rock groynes.
A rock revetment and walkway/maintenance access from the promenade.
Recharge of the beach with imported sand and shingle.
Provision of a ramp onto the beach for maintenance purposes.
A series of steps from the promenade onto the beach.
Replacement of the Bath Tap ramp.
Green Apple Awards 2012 winner - The Central Felixstowe coastal protection scheme has won a silver award for green practices in the building and construction category. This was based on the reuse of the existing materials on site (concrete, rock and clay) in the new construction with the minimum amount of waste.
