About the Speakers:
Richard Hemingway is currently a Senior Health and Safety Manager with Skanska heading the Civil Engineering, Cementation Skanska and Infrastucture operating units. He is a chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and has over 16 years experience working within the health and safety managerial role at three of UK’s top civil engineering contractors. He started his working life as an civil engineering technician before moving across to a career on H&S. With Skanska Richard has worked on a variety of building and civil engineering projects including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Richard’s role see him liaising with many industry clients such as Crossrail, Network Rail, Highways Agency and National Grid. Collaboration of duty holders being important to ensure we leave an ever improving legacy in H&S.
Bob Dunn is a Chartered Civil Engineer, currently working as a Design Manager for Skanska working on the Bermondsey Dive Under project as part of the Thameslink scheme. He has more that 36 years experience in a variety of civil engineering and building projects both in the UK and overseas. He is a Fellow of ICE. Bob has been actively involved in supporting young graduates and trainees to achieve professional qualifications for the last 22 years. He is a member of ICE Council and also sits on a number of ICE Membership panels and a previous ICE London and ICE West Midlands committee member. He has been a very active ICE Reviewer for the last 13 years, and has reviewed not only in the UK but also Russia, India, China and more recently in Hong Kong
