“The Hard Stuff is Easy and the Soft Stuff is Hard”
Speaker: Kim Pervan
General Manager, Government and Community Relations at Oakajee Port and Rail
Kim Pervan
As engineers we are comfortable dealing with forces that behave in predictable and scientifically conforming ways. However developing and delivering a major project requires management of a far greater, more unpredictable and sometimes irrational force – people power.

People, collectively stakeholders, hold great sway in the final appearance, design and cost of a project. Successful project delivery requires proactive outreach and engagement of stakeholders; an understanding of their concerns, needs and motivations; empathy and the ability to develop mutually beneficial solutions.
Kim Pervan knows this first hand from senior position on the Okajee Port and Rail project with responsibility for government and community relations.

Put the numbers to one side, leave your comfort zone and join us for an interesting and enlightening evening learning about the hard part of delivering a major project.
