Wytch Farm is Europe's largest known onshore oilfield in one of the most environmentally sensitive areas of the UK.

Its operations are on the southern shores of Poole Harbour, Furzey Island, Wareham and at Kimmeridge Bay. In 1995, it won The Queen’s Award for Environmental Achievement. It is currently producing 16 000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (crude oil, liquid petroleum gas and gas) and employs 100 staff and 250 contractors.

It is a conventional oilfield extracting oil (with some associated gas) from sandstone and limestone oil reservoirs.

Trevor Keep, Wytch Farm Engineering Manager, and Tony Long, Fabric Maintenance and Repair Coordinator, will be giving a brief overview of the operations and projects taking place at Wytch Farm, followed by an escorted tour around the facility.
If you would like a copy of the flyer for the tour, please download it here.
