The meeting will bring together scientists, engineers, water managers,  regulators, consultants and policy-makers from universities, research institutes, the water industry, the Environment Agency and DEFRA who are at the cutting edge of ecohydrological research within the UK.
The meeting will also contribute towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

OES Archaeology for Offshore Developments: A decade of experience in the UK.

Over the last 10 years Wessex Archaeology have been involved in over 100 offshore development projects for a range of sectors including ports, dredging, cable laying and renewables. These projects, particularly the large renewable projects, have given archaeologists the opportunity to interpret data and identify sites from areas of seafloor which would not otherwise have been accessible.

SECED 14th Mallet Milne lecture A history of British seismology

Seismology, in the sense of the observation of earthquakes and speculation about their nature, has a longer history in Britain than many people might imagine.  It may come as a surprise to learn that the oldest theoretical writing on earthquakes in Britain dates back to the end of the 12th century.  The first attempt in Britain to make a properly scientific study of an earthquake was as early as 1666.
