CDM Regulations 2007 Explained

In line with the new regulations, CDM Regulations 2007 Explained now incorporates the provisions for health, safety and welfare on construction sites. It also addresses the difficult topics of general principles and competence, the consequences of breach of the Regulations and the transition arrangements up to April 2008.

Using a step-by-step format, the guide provides practical advice from the point of view of an experienced civil engineer and construction lawyer, Raymond Joyce. Raymond Joyce has over 30 years' experience in the construction industry as a chartered civil engineer and a solicitor. He is also an accredited adjudicator and mediator. His first book on the 1994 CDM Regulations established his reputation as an authority on construction health and safety in addition to his reputation for assisting his clients safely through the maze of construction law. Raymond is an accomplished public speaker and trainer, who regularly contributes to the media on construction law issues.

The book is organised such that the chapters emphasise the main legal responsibilities for each of the defined roles and provides a straightforward checklist which ensures that you can quickly and easily assimilate the legal responsibilities that affect you. CDM Regulations 2007 Explained provides you with confidence as to the legal duties upon you and helps you avoid the potential penalties of non-compliance.
