Carbon capture and storage (CCS) could enable fossil fuels to play a significant role in the transition to a low carbon economy.  But there are many obstacles to be overcome in order to deliver commercially viable and safe solutions.

This seminar looks at:

- the potential benefits of CCS and its role as a sustainable energy supply

- the technology and infrastructure required for CCS

- CCS policy and regulation

- environmental impact assessment of CCS power plants

- management of health and safety risks from CCS
