Email is ubiquitous, immediate and yet can be a source of frustration. This ICE briefing sheet does not say that email should not be used – just that it can be used more efficiently and effectively. If the measures in this paper are used, they will potentially save up to 30 minutes a day for individuals – productive time that businesses have already paid for. The document gives an introduction to email, discusses the impetus for change, identifies key points in email management and provides a potential action plan.
