Since 2009 successive governments have required more for less from key services within the UK: this has demanded a new era of innovation within the built environment. Professionals are being asked to deliver at lower costs than ever before to cash strapped clients, and at the same time are required to develop sustainable low carbon projects. This is therefore a most exciting time in civil engineering and our VIP speaker addresses some key aspects.
