Against a background of creating a more joined up approach, the need for sustainable solutions and the challenges of climate change, the ICE, CIWEM, RIBA, RICS, RTPI, RUSI and the Landscape Institute have drawn up this joint policy statement to inform and guide their members and the wider industry. Our view is that managing flooding in the urban area should be seen as an opportunity not only to reduce risk but to enhance the urban environment.
