Recently Mott MacDonald played a key role in producing the Local Transport Note (LTN) 1/09 on Signal Controlled Roundabouts, which was released by the Department of Transport in 2009. This much needed, long awaited document provides comprehensive guidance to those engaged in the design of signalised roundabouts. This talk discusses this LTN that will for the first time provide users with a clear and practical guide to assist with the assessment, design and implementation of signalised roundabouts.
