Simon Willis, Global Innovation, Cisco
ICE/AECOM Prestige Lecture 2010
Cities across the globe are growing at an unprecedented rate and currently over half the world's population now live in urban centres. By 2050 this will rise to two thirds, bringing an unprecedented range of infrastructure, societal and ecomonic pressures. Cities will need to be increasingly collaborative as they focus on common solutions to these pressures.
Simon Willis sets out the current issues and looks to future solutions for implementing city-wide programmes. He presents his experience from cities around the world and gives his views on how city leaders, engineers, IT providers and communities must work in partnership to tackle social, economic and environmental challenges.
