Keith Clarke, Chief Executive, Atkins
8th Brunel International Lecture 2010
Climate change is the greatest global challenge of our age. Moving to a low carbon society is as large a driver for engineers today as industrialisation was to our forefathers from the Victorian Age. Reducing carbon emissions could be considered a 'new industrial revolution' and is set to have a similar impact on tomorrow's world.
Keith Clarke examines what today's engineers can learn from Telford, Brunel and others and asks what they would have done with the challenge of climate change and delivering a low carbon society.
