ICE provides expert advice to policy makers on a wide range of issues across engineering and the built environment.
Our rolling programme of policy development and analysis is produced with leading experts in their fields and overseen by a Policy Panel, chaired by Professor Tim Broyd, Group Technology & Innovation Director, Halcrow.
All of our reports, policy position statements and submissions to government and parliament are freely available to download. Our forward programme of policy work is also available here.
The State of the Nation report has been compiled each year since 2000 by a panel of experts drawn from the various fields of expertise across ICE's membership. Its aim is to stimulate debate and to highlight the actions that we believe are needed to improve the state of the nation´s infrastructure.
ICE regularly issues reports and other material providing detailed analysis of policy issues affecting civil engineering and the built environment, and setting out our recommendations to decision makers.
Parliamentary Briefing Papers capture ICE's position on public policy issues affecting civil engineering and infrastructure as well as an introduction to the subject area. They are used to communicate to decision-makers in government and industry and are regularly updated and developed to keep pace with events.
