DVDs and videos available for loan are included in the online Library Catalogue. There is also an extensive selection of 35mm slides for loan: please contact Claire Delgal for further details.
Our collection may be borrowed by any members of the Institution and by organisations or lecturers interested in the work of professional engineers. The collection may be borrowed within the United Kingdom only.
While there is no time limit on the use of the collection, long periods of loan are not generally practicable as they would be likely to cause inconvenience to other borrowers.
As far as possible, material will be dispatched so as to reach the borrower not later than two days before their showing. The material must be returned by post or by hand not later than the day following their showing.
Initial enquiries as to availability of the collection may be made by telephone, letter, fax or email to Claire Delgal.
When booking or enquiring about the material, please quote the title and reference number where possible; some titles are similar, so quoting the reference number will help to ensure that the correct item is sent.
No charge is made for the loan service, but it would be appreciated if borrowers would, when returning borrowed material, refund the postage incurred by the Institution.

The ICE’s large collection of still images is being slowly digitised. Charges are made for use and for reproduction. Copies can be supplied on request and vary according to size, format and purpose. For more information, please contact Carol Morgan (for historic images) or Val Lawless (for modern images). The Library has extensive collections of non-print material, including photographs, sound recordings, 16 mm film, 35 mm slides, and videos. Much of this is unique material or requires special storage conditions, and is therefore accessible via the Archives.
