ICE Members' Directory

The ICE Members' Directory allows you to search for current ICE Fellows, Members, Associate Members and Technician Members.

Basic listing

Every member has a basic listing of their forename(s), surname and grade.

Full listing

Please Opt in to display your full listing. This will also show your employer, UK region/country and designatory letters.

How to search

If a member hasn’t opted in to the full listing, you can only search for them by name or grade (because their other details will still be hidden). So if you include ‘Employer’, ‘UK region’ or ‘Country’ in your search, you will only get results for members who have opted in to show these details.

Search tips:

  • Search results: No more than 500 results are displayed per search
  • Location: Search by ‘UK region’ for UK based members, and ‘Country’ for members outside of the UK
  • Full listing: Click on a member’s surname to view additional information (for members who have opted in to the full listing)
  • Sorting results: To sort your search, click on each column heading
  • Other post nominals: Non-ICE designatory letters supplied by members include a double-asterisk and the text “Information provided by member”

  • Q. I am a Professionally Qualified Member and would like to Opt in to more information being displayed. How do I do this?

  • Q. I am looking for Fellows who could sponsor me in my Fellowship application. How can I do this?

    • Search for colleagues or business contacts by selecting Fellows, and Name or Region or Employer. Remember that only one of your sponsors needs to be an ICE Fellow; the other two can be Fellows of other Engineering Institutions. See Membership Guidance Note 48 for details.

  • Q. Why aren’t all grades of membership listed?

    • A. We have chosen to list only Professionally Qualified Members. This is in line with ICE’s Royal Charter (for promoting the acquisition of that species of knowledge which constitutes the profession of a Civil Engineer) and is a benefit of professional qualification.

  • Q. I can’t find the name of a member I am looking for. Is it possible that they have opted out of the directory?

    • A. The names and grade of all current Professionally Qualified Members are in the directory. However only a maximum of 500 names are returned per search so you may need to narrow your search criteria. Other possible reasons are:
      a. They are in another grade of membership such as Graduate, Student or Affiliate
      b. They have resigned or lapsed their membership
      c. The surname or forenames are spelt differently. The ICE database may hold forenames different to a member’s familiar name e.g. Michael rather than Mike.

  • Q. I wish to make contact with someone in the directory. How do I do this?

    • A. Contact details are not given the directory. If you know their contact details then please make contact directly. If you do not know their contact details please email your request to subs@ice.org.uk who will forward your email to the member. For data protection reasons ICE does not supply contact details directly.
