Joining for free as a Student member of ICE is the first step to becoming a professionally qualified civil engineer.
Can I become a Student member?
YES:
- if you are currently studying at college or working towards your first undergraduate course (for qualification up to MEng) at university. Please refer to the course search. If you are unable to find your course, there is the option to enter the details manually.
- if you are a pre-university student who is on a year in industry placement. If this applies to you, and you want to become a Student member of ICE, please contact the Education and Learning team at students@ice.org.uk or on +44 (0)207 665 2113.
NO:
- if you are enrolled on a postgraduate programme of study such as a specialist MSc, MBA, PhD or DPhil. In this case, you should apply for Graduate membership.
How much does it cost?
Student membership of ICE is free for those residing both within and outside the UK.
If you wish to upgrade to Graduate membership, you will be required to pay an annual subscription fee. A concessionary rate is available. For more information, please visit the Graduate page.
