QUEST Eloise Plunkett Award

This award is in memory of Eloise Plunkett, a young civil engineer with a passion for travel and civil engineering, who tragically died in 2002.

This award offers £1,500 to a UK-based newly qualified female civil engineer. It is for travel outside the UK that has a civil engineering focus and ideally takes an innovative or unusual approach.

Who can apply?

All female ICE members who have qualified as a Member or Technician through a UK-based Professional Review in 2012 are eligible to apply.

When do I apply?

Applicants must apply in advance of their trip

  • Applications will be accepted from June 2012
  • The deadline for completed applications is the 08 February 2013

How do I apply?

Forms will be available to download in June 2012

  • Complete an ICE QUEST Eloise Plunkett Award Application Form and email it to quest.awards@ice.org.uk  
  • Arrange for a ICE QUEST Eloise Plunkett Award Reference Form to be completed by your employer or someone suitable and emailed to quest.awards@ice.org.uk  

All applications will be acknowledged and applicants will then be told when to expect to hear the result of their application.

How will the successful applicants be chosen?

Applications are reviewed by the QUEST Committee and representatives from the Eloise and Katie Memorial Trust. The award will be made to the applicant whose proposal best fulfils the objectives of the award
