2013 Churchill Medal to recognise engineering achievement
The Professional Engineering Institutions’ (PEI) Churchill Medal Award will be presented during the 2013 PEI Defence Lecture taking place on 3 July 2013.
The medal celebrates ‘Achievement in Engineering and Technical Advancement in support of Military Operations’. Past recipients of the medal include Sir Frank Whittle (Jet Engine), Sir Geoffrey de Havilland (Aircraft), Sir Christopher Cockerell (Hover Craft) and Professor Alan Wells (Wells turbine for wave power).

The Churchill medal, first awarded in 1952, is supported by:
