Benevolent Fund (BFICE) voluntary donations – a message from the ICE President

Date:

29 AUGUST 2012

As part of the membership renewal process, I’d like to talk to you about a small change that is going to make a big difference.

Change to donations

On the renewals forms for 2013, you have the choice to donate to the ICE Benevolent Fund. These are completely voluntary donations, yet they are the largest source of support from ICE members. This year, we’d like to suggest an increase in the donation from £5 to £10.

Why we’re asking for a little more

Such is the demand for help that BFICE must raise an additional £230,000 this year to maintain existing services. Over 30,000 ICE members and their families have used these services and demand continues to rise in 2012.

A donation of £10 a year is the same as giving 20p per week. This contribution will help BFICE to maintain existing services and launch much needed new services including Graduate Support Workshops and a Financial Support Programme.

Thank you in advance

It has been a privilege to be patron of the fund in 2012, and I have seen first-hand the difference it makes. So thank you for your continued support. None of us can be sure of what the future holds, but the Benevolent Fund will be there for you and your family.

Please help this vital service to continue by donating through your membership renewal.

Thank you.

Richard Coackley
ICE President
