Bridges at the Big Bang
Building bridges on computer was a big draw at the Big Bang Fair in Liverpool on 5th July.
Sharlene Moffat, who works for “A-One Plus” and Ian Yates, from the North West Regional Support Team spent an enjoyable day talking to students about civil engineering.
The Big Bang North West is the region’s largest celebration of young peoples’ achievements in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM). The event features competitions and activities and workshops suitable for all ages and abilities.
Ian Yates said, "We had a steady stream of students during the day. The Big Bang has a good attendance from students already interested in science and technical subjects. It's a great opportunity to engage with students about civil engineering."
