Cambs County Council training scheme accredited

Date:

20 NOVEMBER 2012

Cambridgeshire County Council has become the first Local Authority to gain accreditation for its Further Learning scheme for Incorporated Engineers.

The scheme was established to enable Technicians and Engineers to gain the necessary skills and experience to bridge the gap between their existing academic qualifications and what is required to become an Incorporated Engineer. The County runs its training scheme with its own Engineers taking on the roles of Supervising and Delegated Engineers managing the scheme. There are 11 trainees currently enrolled with 3 in the process of submitting their final documentation to the JBM. The scheme enables Cambridgeshire CC to develop its own staff to improve their engineering skills for the benefit of themselves and the Authority. If your organisation is interested in the scheme email for more information: jbm@ice.org.uk
