On Friday 10 February, ICE was pleased to welcome over 400 members and their families to our headquarters in London for the Certificate Presentation Ceremony. Hosted by David Lloyd-Roach, Director of Membership, and Richard Coackley, ICE President, this event represents the culmination of the Professional Review process which sees members achieve chartered status and senior grades of membership.
Addressing an international audience, Richard Coackley encouraged members to unite in order to serve society using their accumulated knowledge and professional integrity. He invited everyone present to lead by example and harness their own energy by volunteering and mentoring young engineers. He also emphasised the crucial role of the engineer in delivering value to the industry in these challenging times, in order to build the foundations for a solid and sustainable future.
