Disciplinary board notice - Mr Elliot Morley
Following Elliot Morley’s ‘guilty’ plea to the two charges of false accounting the Chairman of the ICE Disciplinary Board has decided that Mr Morley, who is an Honorary Fellow of the Institution, should be immediately suspended from membership of the Institution.
This action is taken under By-law 40(1), which provides for a member to be suspended where he or she has been found guilty or entered a guilty plea to a serious criminal offence, and Disciplinary Regulation 8, which provides for immediate suspension where it is in the public interest and the interests of the Institution.
The matter will now be subject to formal consideration by the Professional Conduct Panel. Serious cases of apparent improper conduct are then referred by the Panel to the Disciplinary Board and if the member is found guilty by the Board, the facts of the case and the penalty imposed will be published.
