Dorchester City Club is seeking new members for its committee.
The committee meets approximately once per month, usually before each evening event. The meetings are short and are used to update the programme and discuss other matters relating to the club.
Those within the committee often take on resposibility for specific events; this involves contacting the speaker and getting flyer details for the event, as well as helping to run the event on the day. Pre-event support is given by Joanne Mallard in the regional office, who helps to produce the flyer and subsequently advertise on the website and on enews. Joanne also provides attendance sheets for the events. Other committee members are on hand for events and members support each other as required.
Getting involved with a city club is an excellent way to network with other engineers and gain valuable CPD.
