Fellowship for Hertfordshire Engineer

An Associate Director at the Building Research Establishment in Watford, Hertfordshire has qualified to become an ICE Fellow.

Dr Julie Bregulla, who lives in Aldershot, Hampshire was awarded her fellowship in the latest list issued by ICE. Fellow is the highest grade of membership of the Institution. It is awarded to members engaged in a position of responsibility in the promotion, planning, design, construction, maintenance or management of important engineering work. Fellows are entitled to use the letters FICE after their name.

ICE Regional Director, Glen Owen, said: “ICE East of England welcomes Dr Bregulla who joins the 150 existing working ICE Fellows based in the East of England and we look forward to working with her for the benefit of civil engineering in the Region.

“Fellow is the highest grade of membership of the Institution and is for senior civil engineers who have made a significant contribution to the civil engineering profession or have advanced the practice of engineering.”

Dr Bregulla said: “I joined ICE in October 2006 and completed the professional qualifications necessary to become a Member of ICE. To now be awarded the status of Fellow is a great honour which recognises my work as a Civil Engineer.

“ICE membership has benefitted me throughout my career and has also brought benefits to my employers as they know that the criteria for ICE membership are extremely high and rigorously monitored.
