We are proud to be partnering with Open-City's Open House London for the second year to showcase the vital role of civil engineers in building, maintaining and transforming the capital's infrastructure and built environment.
ICE London is organising a series of free walks, tours and boat trips to celebrate and explore innovative engineering in the capital as part of Open House London, taking place over the weekend of 21 – 23 September. Open House London is a free annual event which sees hundreds of buildings, structures and sites open their doors to the public.
Events promoting engineering within the capital, including visits to ICE London Civil Engineering Award-winning sites will take place from Friday 21 September until Sunday 23 September - do save these dates in your diaries.
Last year's highlights included insights into water and sewage at Abbey Mills Pumping Station, transport transformations at Blackfriars by boat, energy at Closed Loop Recycling, and the legacy and future of engineering along the Thames on special boat tours.
Events will be listed on the Open House website for booking in early August. Look out for further information on this website. We will also email all our London members the booking link as soon as it goes live.
